Licensed Massage Therapist position at Total Health Systems. The responsibilities of the licensed massage therapist include meeting with patients and reviewing their individual needs and medical histories, analyzing areas for concern and identifying methods to correct their problems, using a variety of modalities to relieve stress and pain, and providing patients with information on how to care for themselves on a daily basis and how their healthcare needs can be met through the care of Total Health Systems. All appointments are scheduled for 60 minutes, 30 minutes, and 90 minute sessions and are expected to be given in their entirety, unless Management confirms different. A period of fifteen minutes is set up between sessions for various duties such as laundry, cleaning for next client, educating new clients on our clinical services and providing facility tours. A self-confident, professional and happy demeanor is necessary.
Responsibilities for, but not limited to the following:
Bring own oil dispenser.
Protect passwords and patient information.
Log off computer when away from computer.
Read and reply to all email daily.
Complete all information and have true documentation of all paperwork required by the clinic, which include client intake form, health history, and email, referred by and consult area, ask client questions if not complete .Initial or write your name and any other pertinent information on form. Scan form and communicate with Chiropractic Technician to ensure information is entered in to system, retrieve copy when CT has completed their duty.
Familiarize all aspects of clinic services enabling to refer to various programs, seminars, etc.
Print own MT schedule, become familiar with all MT codes, daily activities, procedure summary, weekly audits, monthly recalls. Entering Insurance notes and monthly Insurance audits.
Follow company procedure with daily, hourly, call in for MT schedule, and all request off procedures.
Appointments are scheduled for various segments, hour, half hour etc. with 15 minutes in between to complete various duties, such as laundry, cleaning room for next client, educating new client on our clinic services and tour.

Job Schedule Requirements
Full-time massage therapists are required to work a minimum of 5 shifts on week-days and 1 shift on Saturdays.
Full-time massage therapists will be scheduled for AM or PM shifts depending on the needs of each quarter's schedule.
Quarterly Schedule: The staff set schedule is made quarterly. Each quarter, staff have the ability to request a new set schedule pending management approval for the new quarter.
Changes to the daily or set schedule: All changes must be requested in writing and approved by management.
Payroll is disbursed through direct deposit on a Bi-Weekly Basis
Hourly pay is commission based and ranges from $22-$28 per hour depending on the massage therapists experience level

Am I required to stay at the office if I do not have any massages booked?
No, but if you are scheduled for a shift and wish to leave during downtime, the request must be approved by management before leaving.
In addition, if there is a gap in the schedule the manager will often fill time with paid hourly work in an effort to help new hires build a client base. This hourly work will consist of a variety of tasks including promotional chair massage, community events, or other office work as needed.
How many hours of massage am I required to provide during (1) six hour shift?

Urban Massage schedules a 30 minute gap in between each massage service. This gap allows for room prep and wrap up before the next client. The remaining time is available for the therapist to use as time for self-care in between massage services.
